About Me

As a theologian and New Testament scholar, my passion is to unlock the world of the Bible and early Christianity in a clear and honest way. I believe that critical Bible reading and authentic faith do not have to stand opposed to one another – they can deepen each other.
This website is for a broad audience – believers, seekers, pastors, church members, and anyone interested – who want to learn how the Bible can be read in its original context, and who are curious about the world of the early church: church fathers, liturgy, ancient society, and how all of this still matters today.
The tone is professional yet warm: not a “dry” academic portal, nor superficial religious hobbyism, but a credible, authoritative voice that translates complex research into understandable Afrikaans and English.
